The series:

Ocaso

This series resulted from the creation of a developer for black and white films and also the enhancement of negative scanning techniques. The first set of tests (not presented here) was part of the research carried out for Daniel Malva’s undergraduate degree in photography, in scientific initiation format (2005) and presented in the course conclusion text. The final works were created in 2012 using the same technique. The series consists of 24 images in total divided into three sets: Black, White, and Silver.

The technique

Analogue photography

The Ocaso series was made using a 35mm camera and medium format (6×7 cm) and a special developer film made by Daniel Malva. The result is soft gray tones in the image.
